Mend Rover 220sd Boot Light Fine

rover boot light?

the boot light in my rover 220sd only comes on for the first few inches when i open the boot, it then goes out!! I have changed the lamp, so that is fine, hummmm please help!!!!!

chances are the wiring loom to the tailgate has broken , there is a black tube runs at the top of the tailgate on the o/s pull this back and inspect the wires
