How can I fix my lazy boy reclining rocker which also swivels? ?

I have a lazy boy recliner with a swivel and rocker. A spring is not connected to some part of the chair; a small bolt fell on the floor and it is severed in two. I have taken the bottom off but cannot tell what connects the spring. Can anyone help? Thanks.
