When my P reg Almera has been standing overnight the first time I push the clutch pedal down it only returns very slowly. The problem is definitely in the clutch and not the pedal or cable. It is worst in cold weather. After the clutch has been worked a few times and the engine is warm the clutch behaves normally. Can anyone tell me what the problem may be and is it expensive to remedy?
In the morning i started my Nissan Almira, I put my foot on the paddle but never came back, iy doest want to go into gears

if you push clutch down it falls to the floor but you can pull it up and stays at top... you cant get it into gear aswell... could that be a sticky cable??
apparently nothing wrong with clutch...

the thrust bearing in the clutch if its not been replaced yet. my partner has a very sticky & stiff clutch & its covered 120,000 miles.
get your local garage to check it, & before they do any work get a quote.

My Almera 1.5 05 has an intermittant clutch problem. My wife has had to get the AA out on two occasions out of town because the clutch pedal is stiff and difficult to engage gears. Both times she got back I sat in the car and pumped the pedal and it returned ok but there is still some underlying problem. The fluid is ok. I know it must be hydraulics somewhere??
