Mend Ideal Standard Dual Cistern

How do i set the dual flush cistern inside ?

The adjustable part of my ( Ideal Standard )cistern workings seem to have moved and my flush buttons can get stuck when pushed down .The adjustable bit which holds the green and white inner flush workings and has the ridges on to change the height seems to slip down too easily and not sure of the exact height to set this at to stop flush buttons sticking.Any suggestions would be appreciated.
