Hotpoint wd440 start/cancel button does not work?

Hotpoint wd440 start/cancel button does not work.
I opened the top and front console, checked the pcb.
One of the small plastic holders for the pcb was broken. I tried to remove and refit and after that the on/off button stopped glowing.
When I power on the machine, 5 lights on the left + on/off lights flash once and then no action.

What could the problem be ? Do I need to replace this pcb or is there something else wrong ?
