Mend Morphy Richards mce450 Switch Cable Entry

how do I fix replace on/off switch on mce450?

How do I remove the handle to get to the switch, I need to do this as if I move the cable, at the entry point to the hoover I turn it on and off. I think the electric spade to the switch is loose.
