Samsung VP D101 LCD screen problems?

for no reason at all the screen just stopped working - it shows white but the sound is fine - eyepiece works fine, but not the screen - any ideas please

I have exactly the same problem with this camera. There was a similar problem with some other samsung camcorders 2 years ago where the ccd was at fault and samsung were apparently replacing the cameras. Not sure what action can be taken
