to me that sounds like its running weak,does it pick back up once it has died if you close the throttle again?check the ir filter is ok and on the carb properly and also that the still air pipe from atmosphere to the air filter is on properly and not perished or broken,also the carb may have water in it or have a blocked jet.let us know the answer to the question i asked you.
