Mend Briggs & Stratton 81302

How can I fix my B&S contact breaker plunger?

I have a 60's B&S engine, a non runner type 81302. The C/B plunger is stuck with the contacts open. It looks like a full engine strip down to remove it and fit another. Can anyone offer advice?

If the breakers are fully open, there must be a fair amount of the plunger sticking out, with GENTLE warming and a good set of grips i am sure it will come out externally.
