Nokia 6230 speaker problem?

Hi there, my Nokia 6230 constantly makes interference sounds...as if it's near a computer and a text is coming through. It also drains my battery (I've taken out the speaker at the moment and the battery has stopped going down). Could you tell me whether the problem is more likely to be the speaker or the arial? Or the circuitry?
