electric hob not responding to knob?

my baumatic electric hob has developed a fault .the element does not respond to the control knob.the control knob still turns the element on/off, but there is no control of the output temperature.the other rings are all ok.

Hi I have this problem with my victoriana cooker. When I press the ignition button, the ignition wont spark. I replaced it with a new one and have made sure all contact is clear before replacement of ignition. Please advise if the problem maybe something else. The other 3 hobs are working fine. Many thanks

So what would you like to be told? If the control switch is not working but the others are then the switch is obviously faulty. Replace it with a new one.
