Mend Electra Problem Started Turn

Please help with my tumble dryer problem?

Please help, I have an electra tumble dryer which started with a fault in which it would not turn off (always used sensor drying without a problem). After doing this intermittently, it stopped heating up altogether. I paid for a new thermostat (£40!!!) and while it is now heating, it is not switching off again. Any ideas???

Sounds like a problem with the timer ie it is not breaking the contacts when it reaches the time to stop heating and spinning
