if its a transmatic it has a single speed transaxle and they have a tendancy to break. inside there is a metal lever that shifts back and forth from foreward to reverse and while the motor is running it keeps pressure on the lever. once the engine is off the pressure is released and allows it to move evven though broken. i just repaired my transaxel about 2 days ago. its an easy fix drop the axel open it up. its packed with grease so nothing will spill. the only thing that you have to worry about is a steel ball bearing that is located just inside of the housing were the lever protrudes. once past that take the piece to a welder and get it fixed its only about a inch and a half weld so it shou
