Igntion Light ,altenator or fuse issue ?

I Have a Ford fiesta 2007 and have had a problem with my fuses in the past, recently my cigarette lighter fuse blew so i replaced and at the same time i checked all the others, they were fine, then that night whilst driving my ignition/battery light came on then abs fail light came on, so i pullled over rang rac and then whilst waiting i tried starting the engine and it failed, rac came over charged the batterry and disconnected the smart plug so the car would run, they checked the altenator which was fine. continued driving with smart plug disconnected an then got local ford garage to check it, they said i needed a new altenator, i couldnt believe that after rac sad it was fine so took it to kwik fit who checked altenator who again said it was fine ! Am still driving it fine with smart plug disconnected and obv my batterry light is still displayed but my battery charge volt is getting better and better, could this be another fuse box issue, seems to convenient that the day i fiddle with them that something goes wrong...any idea's?
