how can i fix my autowatch 160 rli remote?

How can i fix my autowatch 160 rli remote? i have replaced the batteries but the led in the key fob still doesnt illuminate.if the bulb was broken,would it stop the fob/remote from working?

Derek, the light is an LED so it's not likely to have blown. more likely that battery leakage could be the fault here, hence cleaning the contacts and removing contaminants is probably what needs to be done to get the fob working again.

Check your battery contacts and the solder between them and the Fob Circuit Board, re-solder contacts if they are loose and wipe the Button contact with some Denatured alcohol or similar cleaner and spray the circuit board with CRC 2-26 or some similar Electrical cleaner. if that doesn't work then you probably need a new fob.
