Why my weed eater cord won't pull out at all?

Why the cord won't pull out on my weedeater? I took it a loose then it would pull but why its together it won't pull out.

I believe you have a locked up engine. Remove the pull starter assembly again and try to turn the shaft by hand in either direction. If you can not turn it then you have a locked up engine. Also sometimes dirtdobbers build nests inside the engine thru the exhaust port on the muffler and this will also prevent you from turning the crankshaft on the engine.
