Mend Bolens BL100 Weed Pull Cord

BOLENS BL100 gas weed trimmer- pull cord?

I have a 17 in cut 31cc BOLENS GAS WEED TRIMMER model BL100 . The pull cord jammed up inside the housing. I attempted to get at it and thought I fixed it. It wont pull out and i am not sure what I am doing wrong.

I am having the same problem with my trimmer. I took the bottom screws off to partially detach the green bottom housing that contained the pulley system and noticed there are 2 black stops on springs that were blocking the plastic flywheel attached to the pulley cord, but do not know what suddenly happened to these that they now appear to not function properly.

Can you please tell me how you were able to get at it. The cord on mine just jumped the pully the other day and I am hesitant to start taking screws apart. The bolens manual and the website are are of no help. Please tell me how you got into it.
