Mend Ford Fiesta 1.8 Endura-De Fuel Start Changed

fchanged fuel filter/now won`t start. ?

changed my fuel filter in my 1997 fiesta 1.8 endura de non turbo van,now it won`t run/starts after a very long time cranking over,but won`t stay running.

If there is a hand primer on top of filter these were bad for drawing air,replace and open bleeder and prime with fuel.

Did you bleed the filter ? look for bleed screw on filter housing, is there a hand primer? if so slacken bleed screw,and prime the fuel system until just fuel and no air comes out then tighten bleed screw.If there is more than one screw,bleed the one nearest the fuel inlet pipe,then the other.Or if no bleed screws remove filter bowl and fill with fuel by hand, any further problem post question. Ex AA patrolman
