My gilera stalker 50cc starts and ticks over but when i try to ride it, it don't pull properly and when i full throttle it cuts out and i don't know why
I just bought a gilera stalker 50cc non runner I've got it ticking over now it fires off a bit of quick start and will idle for as long as I won't it to if I try to rev it cuts out unless I put my hand over the carb and I let a little bit of air in I've tried changing the fuel air ratio to no avail any ideas on what to do thanks stu

when i start my bike it just cuts out and when i rideing and open the throttle it goes berrrrrrr and dnt wanna move and its pissing me off

How do you drain the fuel from the float bowl of the carb? thankyou

if it was the exhaust it wouldnt cut out with more throttle it would just not rev any more,the classic symtom for a weak running engine is dieng when you open the throttle and give it more air, this will make it die as its already getting too much air in the fuel/air mixture and when you close the throttle again it will pick back up.

Try to check its getting enough fuel,tap might be blocked.or exhaust coked up

it sounds like its running weak to me mate ,what exhaust have you got on it and is the air filter standard and fixed on propery to the carb and make sure that the airfilter cover hasnt been drilled my some muppet.have you drained the fuel from the float bowl of the carb in case it has got water in it?
