my hotpoint fdw60g dishwasher doesn't work properly?

My hotpoint fdw60g dishwasher suddenly stopped working properly. The start/stop button and program select don't work but the machine can be started/stopped using thehalf load button. (not sure what program this is). The prewash and rinse lights both flash after the program has finished and the dishes are not dried very well.
