Mend Russell Hobbs 15081 Iron Heat

my russell hobbs 15081 steamglide iron won't heat up?

I bought my russell hobbs 15081 steamglide iron in January,and now it won't heat up.Iv'e checked the fuse. Any ideas?

My one stopped working due to the thermal (not electrical) fuse blowing. There was quite a bit of corrosion inside the iron including the thermostat, so I guess that it over heated melting the wax in the thermal fuse, so this safety feature worked.
Normally I just replace the thermal fuse, if all looks fine, but this iron was beyond a safe repair.

Could be a manufacturing fault with these.
Two new Russell Hobbs 15081s have failed on me this year.
