Stihl MS180 how do I replace the cylinder>?

Looking at seeing if it's worth replacing the cylinder on a little MS180, the saw is relatively new (maybe 12 to 18 months old) I have been told its cylinder has been scored. Just wondered if this job would be easy for a semi competent bloke, I'm a chippy by trade and have most basic mechanics tools in my shed. If anyone could pass on a bit of info or a link to anything I would much appreciate.

I striped the Stihl yesterday, cylinder and piston are knackered as were expected, it went really quite well. The tips from YouTube were a great help, took me no longer than about 45 mins.
New parts are now ordered, will update when completed.

I have viewed the YouTube posting and I will take the machine apart tomorrow to see what is wrong. I will keep you posted of my progress. Thanks for the link.

Go to youtube and search for stihl chainsaw strip down. There is a guy on there that stripped down an MS230 or MS250 (can't remember which) and the principle is identical to the MS180. Personally I wouldn't bother as it's very very time consuming and involves stripping the machine right back to its component parts- if you've never done it before it's very daunting. The pro Stihl saws use a different engine design and you can replace a piston in one of those in about half an hour.
