unable to record 2 programs and watch another on sky+box, at the same time, as it wants me to cancel 1 recording, before it will let me change channel, it will only let me watch 1 thats being recorded
It isn't crap at all. The Sky+ box only has has two tuners (Which incidentally is quite normal for STBs. The Virgin box is unusual.) and so can only show/record two channels at once.

yes this is standard. sky is crap. your better off with virgin. much better.
