WHAT IS CAUSING MY hotpoint bf1680 dishwasher to trip the ring main?

We have the exact same problem!! it happened a while a go and we stopped using it, tried it one day and yippee it worked for 6months done it again now, rang an engineer and he says that water has leaked into the motor causing the ring main to trip, advised to buy a new machine as once this happens it is the start of many problems ahead!! Apparently quite common in Hotpoint machines :(
