Indicator/accelerator link??

Hi
I have a 52 plate Nissan Primera. When I am accelerating and I have the indicators or the hazard lights on the car seems to slow down and speed up in direct response to the indicator. It's almost as if I am pushing the accelerator up and down at the same time as the indicator lights are going on and off.
