throttle problem daf CF 360 2004?

Throttle cuts out intermitantly,engine warning light (yellow)with number 1 has flashed twice.I have fitted a new pedal & cleaned around the brake pedal as i am told this can sometimes cut the throttle out. Will lose throttle at various revs. Happens when truck is still or moving. Truck goes as it should for a while & then no throttle, flick it & away we go again .Can someone please help ,i will then get a credit note for the £300 pedal that i may not need to buy. You good people may like to know Daf wanted, £25 to answer this Q, £400 to drive 35 miles to my depo & diagnose .£800 to fit a wiring loom if needed & two arms a leg & a pint of blood if it got any more serious,why i run a £75000.00 truck & only charge £35 p/hr, _ _ _ _ knows ,its because i am not a mecanic i suppose ,anyway thanx for listening.

Not to mention the tech having to go down to Thame for training, having to be put up in a hotel and eating steak every night and drinking
breakspears on expenses.... Oh, just me then?

we have the same problem with a 04 daf 75cf and have had the truck in daf and they pluged it in the throttle pedal is fine and can not help checked all the wireing loom and cant see any problem .

p.s if you paid £75000 for a 2004 cf360 someone saw you coming!

Would be interested to know which DAF dealer quoted £400 to drive 35 miles and diagnose. Are you sure? DAFaid rate is less than that. Perhaps they quoted a silly amount to attend because the can't be arsed with you? You are talking credit notes for the pedal, so you have obviously already bought it, what with you being a DAF diagnosis expert. My guess is you have wiring rubbed through somewhere. PS you might be interested to know the diagnostic computer they will be using costs the dealer 15 grand, so why should they tell you what the fault is for nothing?

Sick of tight arses wanting everyone else to subsidise their business.
