Mend Sony STR-DE185 Mode Seconds Flashing

str-de185 is stuck in protect mode?

I bought it and plugged it in and after about 2 seconds, it turned over to a flashing screen that just kept blinking "protect".
and everytime i turn it off and on again, it does the same thing.

I had the same with my Sony receiver.
Change the IC- amplifier STK350-030 inside.
You can buy it by Nedis for 4 or 5 euro.

I put some extra cooling plate on the IC because it is getting very hot during operation.

check the speakers/wires take them out of the amp and if still goes to protect you have dry joints on the output trans(on heat sink)resolder them it should fix it.. if not check them they might be short
