Mend BMW 330d Starting Problems Start Diesel

Problem with my Bmw 330d starting?

I have recently been expriencing problems when trying to start my Bmw 330 diesel. It continues to turn over but does not fire straight away. Sometimes it does start other times i have to get my jump leads out. No pattern either, one day it will the next it won't. Had battery checked and is ok.
