could you be kind enough as to assist me. i have a topfield 5500 pvr sat receiver and recently it has crashed on me. cannot retrieve any hard drive, no function as to to working of said receiver. once turned on it just sticks on the menu mode. many thanks. regards,len hill.

it sounds like one or more of the capacitors have blown on the starter board check them out and replace any blown ones and you should be back in business
