headlights, sidelights & tail lights not working on rover 100?

fault is due to wiring break on live feed to lighting switch. fuse link no.2(60qmp), feeds light switch,radio memory and heated rear window relay. this wire branches of to these items inside the loom(not accesible to repair).to repair wiring fault obtain length of wire to same gauge as original and link into wire coming from fusible link 2. under steering column find large black plug with 3 wires in. cut brown wire on loom running up to light switch. join new wire to this and lights will work!!!
check radio memory and heated rear window still working and job done.
my 97 model 115D suffered from this and it took me 6 hours of checking and testing to work out the fault
(maplins sell the heavy gauge of wire needed
check and insulate all conections and unused wires

You could check the main lighting circuit fuse in the fuse box.
