Mend Ferroli 701 Boiler Heating Gas Valve

ferroli 701?

I have just had a new gas valve and fan on my ferroli 701. The boiler now works but after it has been on for a few minutes whether it is on timed or on perm it burns for about 10 seconds then goes off for about 10 seconds. it does this throughout the programme/ Is this normal because it seems to be doing an awful lot of work. There is no room stat for this boiler.
