We think we have traced the problem to a leakage in the rubber seal around the rear lights cluster, although It may not have appeared to come from there. Withdraw the rear light assembly and reseal around aperture with good sealant, you may have to leave a space free for water to run out at the bottom, or not, you may have to experiment.
