Mend GE Temperature Control Oven Repair

Fixing the temperature control on my GE Spacemaker electric oven?

The 8 inch element burnt out and I replaced it but now the temperature control won't work. It works on high only, nothing in between.
i have no idea of the model number, it seems to have been burnt off the inside plate on the oven door. thanks for any help.
