Mend Kenwood Oven Thermostat

How do a repair main oven in Kenwood Cooker CK447?

The thermostat light stays on no matter were the control is even when the oven temperature is higher that the control setting. Also, the oven takes much longer to warm up. However, the thermostat does click so appears to be working. It does appear that the bottom element is not working so this may need replacing, but would that cause the fault in the thermostat light.
