astra diesel estate abs sensor?

ABS light is lit on dash.....came on the other day and i also notices that the trip and mile counter were not logging any increase in milage . after stopping the next start the light went off after self check and trip and mile counter worked....then ABS light came up again and trip counter stopped logging miles......Any thoughts?
