My mp3 turns on and off, however the scroll button doesnt seem to work!?

My kids threw it on the floor and its kind of cracked open from the side, I can turn it on and off, yet nothing works when I does, all the buttons on the screen doesnt work at all, only the butttons on the side!
Help!!!
