ford fiesta 1995 fast tickover?

hi Paul,
thanks for that sugestion, but the cable returns fine.I have found so far that after changing the complete carburettor the problem was still there, that is the engine still reved high for about 8 seconds and slowly dropped to 900rpm tickover.Makes driving very difficult having to over brake all the time.I have had some success in disconnecting the map unit and plugging sealing the manifold.The car appears to run normally now, but I will have to check the map unit now, thanks Duncan.

have you tried adjusting the throttle cable so its not so tight ?
