how can i fix a husqvarna 262 xp professional chainsaw?

does diaphrams for fuel pump cost much on 262 xp.

262 does not have a vented cap, the vent is in the fuel tank, top rea,r right hand side, close to rear av mount.

i had a husky do the same thing it would run and die after short time ,after taking saw apart a putting it all back together problem was still there, finally found problem ...vented gas cap was stuck and not letting saw get air, fixed cap and saw ran great

Back to basics,pull the muffler off and check the condition of the piston through the exhaust port, if ok, drain out fuel tank and clean re fill with fresh fuel, clean/replace the filter in the fuel tank, check fuel hose for splits or cracks, strip carb, single screw cover houses the pump diaphram and fuel screen, clean/replace, check condition of the spark plug, gap 0.5mm. More indepth, pressure test the crankcase looking for air leaks in gaskets or crank seals.
