Hotpoint Ultima not draining water during rinse cycle?

My hotpoint ultima wahsing machine does not drain water during rinse cycle. It runs through a wash cycle, the pump starts and drains the water. It then starts filling with water, appears to agitate but does not pump out any water (sometime some conditioner is still in draw with some water). This agitating continues right until the spin should start but because there is water in the drum it never reaches the spin stage. I have clean the pump out and it did have some bra wires in.

Any help would be most welcome
