bike 2000 r1,tach registering 3000rpm indicating fault,got a new one same problem,now cannot even get tacho in set mode,tacho just registering 3000rpm no matter how i adjust
why bother to post a question then never read the answers?a total waste of good peoples time is what it is no wonder we get piss'd off with doing it.

is the new throttle position sensor a brand new on or second hand one?have you checked in the manual to see if the right values are at the sensor? there should be a resistance check for it.ill look at work tomorrow for you i think i have a genuine r1 manual there.
