Mend Candy GOC218 Sensor Temp Works

Candy GOC218 heat sensor failed - easy diy fix?

Candy GOC218 temp sensor has failed. works initially, then packs in. but once cooled down it works again.

12 month warranty lapsed 2 weeks ago, but has 5 yr parts cover. It is an easy diy fix?

Any advise appreciated.
