Mend Armitage Shanks Large Button Small

Pneumatic Dual Flush Plate?

Both the large button and small button is hard to push,and this as always been the case. It is so hard that a child would't be able to press it. The make is Armatage Shanks, and I have replaced the plate twice. Is there a solution to this problem.

I too have had trouble with the pneumatic flush button - but my make is (I believe) Gelcast. In the space of 18months it has remained depressed twice. Huge loss of water, inconvenience and expense. Not helped by the fact that the workings within are very inaccessible. I fear I will have to bite the bullet and replace it - unless someone has a remedy.
