bath mixer tap leaking from the turn switch?

it is leaking all the time slowly from the turn switch used to turn it to shower or bath water. We took the front screw off but there does not seem to be a screw inside to get the cylinder out like you can from taps Alan keys do not work the back looks flat so it won't open with either screwdriver - does anyone have any suggestions.
