Central Heating problem with Worcester Bosch RSF 240?

I have recently changed my leaking diverter valve on my Worcester Bosch RSF240 combi boiler. The hot water operation is working fine but the central heating does not fire up!!
The demand light comes on when the heating is called for , however the gas does not fire up!
Any suggestion very much appreciated
