Mend Advent 7109 Laptop Screen Power

Advent 7109 turns on then nothing!?

My advent 7109 laptop turns on, the intel sign comes on then the screen goes blank. The screen is still lit but there is no power in the keyboard. The laptop is about four years old but hasn't been dropped or damaged! can anyone help?

Hi, try booting from our recovery disc. It means that the laptop itself is functioning and POSTing. It may need another hard drive or just recovering. Beware of losing data if you recover your hard drive. Choose the right options if you have any. Best bet is put a new hard drive in and recover that. That way you dont lose any data
