How can I fix my hotpoint aquarius condenser dryer TDC30?

The control relay has failed (take the top cover off and find it right at the front under the metal lip).

Sometimes the relay can work for a while then fail as it warms up so the machine stops after a few minutes.

Change the relay and everything works again.

We didnt take a picture OR draw a diagram! Dont suppose you kept the picture or can remember which way round they go? We have bought the parts but dont want to blow them by putting them in incorrectly.

I also forgot to add that you must let your dyer run through the cool down cycle at end of drying to prevent this problem recurring.

I have just repaired my tdc30 with the same problem.I had to replace BOTH the [heater cut out kits] as they are apparently called at the rear of the machine. These are located at the rear behind a 2" cover held on by 2 screws. To REPLACE THEM SIMPLE UNSCREW THE COVER,AND THEN UNSCREW THE 2 CUT-OUTS AND REMOVE THE 4 WIRES,-MAKING SURE NOT TO MIX THEM UP AND REPLACE. I TOOK A PICTURE AND DREW THEM ON THE BACK OF THE MACHINE SO I DID NOT MIX THEM UP.The part number for these wear (1701583 Green spot) 6Kg condenser tumble dryers from date code 65 (May 1999). Please check the part number of your machine before you order any from Hotpoint. 17£ FOR THE PAIR. Good luck, it is a very easy repair.
