My 2005 ovetto 50 is very slow picking up speed when starting. ?

My 2005 ovetto 50 is very slow picking up speed when starting. what would cause this? It has only happened in the past 2 weeks. up till then it was fine. I have bought a haynes manual and would like to try fix myself but need direction as to where I should look first. Thanks for taken the time to read my question

Has it been wet where you are? Possible water in the carb. You need to strip carb down and pop fresh petrol in the the tank. Be careful when doing it it is very delicate and easly damaged.
