Mend Morphy Richards 48280

Paddle not moving?

My Morphy Richards breadmaker is Model 48280. The paddle hardly moves. I have tested the container and paddle by putting them in another identical machine - it works O.k. I need to look at the mechanism but cannot open up the machine. Can you tell me the sequence of doing this?
