Mend Ford Escort 18i Car Alarm Help

Ford Escort Model 1988 - car alarm keeps going off?

Can anyone help - we have an intermittent problem with our Escort, R reg, 1988 model 18i. The car alarm keeps going off.

Not sure if this is connected to the problem but the warning and sensor light for the doors keeps flashing.
