Carb Pilot Jet?

Hello would you be able to tell me how to know what size of pilot jet i have in my teikei carb on my TY 250 mono as the engine seems to be running on a bit and the air ajust screw seems to have no effect on the running?

Both crank seals were changed about a month ago, I can't find any air leaks but i can't tell wether i have the correct pilot jet as there are no numbers stamped on it?

i would have a look at the crankseals or the reed valve if it has one the ty is a trials bike isnt it but i cant remember if its reed valve or a if its piston ported.have alook at the lh crankseal and see if is wet with oil ,obviously the left one will show you but the right one ill make the bike smoke alot.is the idle jet clear and the right size?

Throttle cable has plenty free play and does not change engine reves when turning handle bars. the cable is smooth and the slide is not sticking. I have checked for air leaks but can't find any?

ok if the idel take a while to come down to a stable level then the engine may be running weak,there may be an air leak on the inlet manifold or the throttle slide may be sticking? has the throttle cable got a bit of free play in it at the handlebars?do the revs go up and down if you turn the handlebars left to right

sorry when i said running on i mean when i reve it, it takes a few seconds to return to its idle when the engine is hot. The pilot jet is clean and unblocked but it doesent have any number or anything else stamped on it?

what do you mean by running on?does it keep running after you turned it off and had it running for a while like when its hot?the pilot jet will have a number on the side of it like 35 or similar.this will not make it run on though.if it does have no affect on the engine speed or change the note of the engine when turn the idle screw while its ticking over then the jet must be partilayy blocked of the overall carburation is wrong,but really if its that bad then it wouldnt idle well either.
